Tennents Untapped

Photos via here

Here are the 16 local bands/artists that will be competing for a slot, to play, on the main stages of Tennents Vital 2012  before The Foo Fighters, Black Keys and the Minutes and Florence and the Machine and The Stone Roses.

I will be attending Showcase 2, cheering on and keeping my fingers crossed for local artist Peter McVeigh. I  have loved his music for quite some time now and Thursday will be the first time that I get to hear him live - finally!!!

College & Electric Youth

I thought I would start all your Monday's off with a great song from a great film!!  It is from the film ' DRIVE' and was one the first films that Andrew and I went to see together.  I really enjoyed the film (which might have something to do with Ryan Gosling) but Andrew wasn't overly fussed on it but I did however find out a week later that he loved this song too.  It now reminds me of him and makes me smile!!!

I hope you enjoy!!!

Better Late Than Never

Welcome to 'Not Just A Photo' and thank you for visiting my little corner of the web! Sorry for the overload of Paris so far.  I can't promise that it's the last you will see of the beautiful city but I can promise there will be more of a variety coming up in the weeks to follow.

I don't really know what took me to starting this little blog I guess I just thought that it would be a great way to keep all my memories, photos, quotes, music finds and thoughts in one place!! I haven't really got a clue about  how I'm going to go about this, all I know is my 3 favourite things will feature very heavily and those are PHOTOGRAPHY, QUOTES and MUSIC

That's all for now but please feel free to leave a comment if you like anything and get in contact with me if you found a great quote that you think I would like or need to hear or a great band that just has to be heard by the masses!

Not Just  A Photo is a work in progress and I hope you enjoy

Paris - From the Top of The Eiffel Tower

We finally made it to the top of the Eiffel Tower on Day Three.  Once there we had a game of 'Stop The Landmarks' and I think we found all the big ones.

Paris - Eiffel Tower

As you can see from the pictures the gorgeous blue skies didn't hold out for longer than a day for us but that didn't spoil anything at all!!

Paris Life

Day Two saw us make our way to the Eiffel Tower to check prices and what the queues were like, a boat tour along the River Seine, Notre Dame, seeing the 'padlocks of love' locked to the many bridges over the River Seine and finally a glimpse of the Louvre and it's famous pyramid.

Out the back of Notre Dame there was this cute little park were locals were watching the world go by and catching up with friends!

Paris - Arc de Triomphe

I didn't really realise how beautiful and detailed the Arc de Triomphe was until we were right beside it and I was looking at it through my lens.
