New Years Drinks

Half way through January, Leanne and I were finally able to get a night out together to celebrate the New Year and catch up on each others lives!!! We decided on one of Belfast's newest bars on the scene, The Dirty Onion!! Apart from it being sauna warm, because of the open fire, and bar staff not able to crack even a little smile, we had a great little night. 

Like most of our nights out this one ended with us having chips, not good at all for the waist lines but great for the stomachs and helping with the hangovers. 

Round Two

Round Two was with Leanne, Rhona and Cathlin and the venue was Deanes for something a little special! We drank bubbles and ate Scallops and Steak and finished off with a bowl of C P I C.

For anyone who has not been to Deanes at Christmas I will let you guess what C P I C is!!

To Market To Market

Christmas time is a great time to catch up with friends and that is exactly what I did! On December 6th Lyn, Louise, Patricia and I met for our annual night out in Belfast. We tried the Apartment for food but with no joy ventured over to the Continental Markets for a Burger and Cider.  From there we did a little Belfast Pub Crawl taking in The National Grand Cafe Bar, the Bears Paw and ending the night in The Harp Bar

When The Markets Came To Town

When Louise and I catch up, it always involves food and drinks! At the end of November we decided on food from Bubbacue and drinks from the Lavery's tent in the continental markets which are located on the front lawns of City Hall every Christmas. We were nearly tempted by dessert but didn't fancy going into a Chocolate coma before the drinks!

Day 5 - Woodbury Commons, Comedy Show and a Very Late Night

Day Five turned out to be a very busy. We started off early at the Port Authority Bus Station on our way to Woodbury Commons for the shopping experience to end all shopping experiences! Purchases were made and everyone came away very very happy indeed.

During our walk around Times Square on Day Four, we got tickets for a comedy show on the Upper West Side for after shopping. Typical tourists, they seated us near the stage.  We knew we were going to get the attention of the comedians, and they did not disappoint!

From the comedy show we moved on to a few Irish Bars in the area which lead to finding a  Deli at 4.30am or 5.00am for some food. None of us can actually remember the exact time, again all in the name of good fun!

2011

I was sorting through my digital folders on my computer and came across this which I made in 2011 trying to be creative for my blog at the time.  It never made it previously so thought that I would share now, some the great things that happened in the year that was 2011!!!

This past weekend was spent with a brilliant group of friends celebrating one of their big day's in a beautiful setting of Castle Leslie in County Monaghan! More photos to follow!

Afternoon Tea

Last weekend I visited a friend as I had not seen her since January and in between she had good married and went on honeymoon so it was great to get a catch up.
