Galway Galway Galway

I don't know what it is about me and the 2nd night that I'm in Galway but something always seems to happen to me! The first year I took a migraine to end all migraines and then this year I went a burnt my hand on a luggage rack.  Now before you say anything the 'metal luggage rack' was sitting beside a radiator, which was turned on all evening.  I went to move the luggage rack out of the way to get some heat into me and before you know it, my hand felt like it was on fire.  It was actually my first burn and hopefully it will be my last!!

Apart from the burn I had a great weekend with great food and craic!!! The Galway Bay Hotel is a lovely hotel and I'll be sure to see you in 2014 for the next Irish Fly Fair!!

Halloween

Halloween 2013 was a great night and the first since University that I made a little effort to dress up.  All of Chris's friends outfits were brilliant! We headed to the Tannery in Moira for the festivities with our Naked Granny winning the prize for Best Dressed on the night

NOTE: All photos are mine except for the bottom photo of Chris and I

It Really Is A Wonderful Life

"I'm not crazy. It's Christmas Eve.
It's the one night when we all act a little nicer.
We...we smile a little easier. We...we...share a little more.
For a couple of hours we are the people we always hoped we would be.
It's really a miracle because it happens every Christmas Eve.
And if you waste that miracle, you're gonna burn for it. I know.
You have to do something. You have to take a chance and get involved.
There are people that don't have enough to eat and who are cold.
You can go and greet these people.
Take an old blanket out to them or make a sandwich and say, "Here."
"l get it now."
And if you give, then it can happen, the miracle can happen to you.
Not just the poor and hungry, Everybody's gotta have this miracle!
It can happen tonight for you all!
If you believe in this pure thing,
the miracle will happen and you'll want it again tomorrow!
You won't say, "Christmas is once a year and it's a fraud." It's not!
It can happen every day! You've just got to want that feeling!
You'll want it every day! It can happen to you!
I believe in it now.
I believe it's gonna happen to me, now. I'm ready for it!
And it's great. It's a good feeling.
It's better than I've felt in a long time.
I'm ready.
Have a Merry Christmas. Everybody."

Here Fishy Fishy

Aren't these dolls absolutely beautiful!!! These little guys are making the trip to the Galway Irish Fly Fair with us to find new homes and friends to keep company!!

Ultimate Fire Fighter

As you can see from above today was a great day!! What you can't really see because of the way I have processed the photos through VSCO CAM is that the sun was shinning and I even got a little sun burnt on my face.

There was 4 stages today which were all very gruelling and rather those guys do it than me! I am never very good at going up hill so watching them climb stairs with hoses on their backs was very tiring for me so I don't want to know what it was like for the fire fighters.

Guys from United States, Brasil, Czech Republic and our very own Norn Iron Fire and Rescue all competed and competed well side by side.  I have to see the guys from Rio were very good and you could tell they were in the zone when they got up to the starting line!

Happy Birthday Mum!!

For my birthday last year mum, dad and I took a day trip down to the Giant's Causeway!! This is one of the pictures that was taken of mum and I which I happen to really like!

Today it is my mum's birthday so just wanted to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY Mum!!! Love you loads and loads but I'm sure you knew that already

Concerts Galore

It really is the season for the concerts in Northern Ireland and I love it! If you had said to me 3 weeks ago how many concerts I had booked, my answer would have been one and that is King Charles next Friday evening.  However today is a completely different story,  I am not only going to 1 but 5 concerts and hopefully that will be added too as the weeks go on!! They include the amazing MUMFORD AND SONS, BEN HOWARD, THE LUMINEERS and the amazing KINGS OF LEON!!!!

Have you any concerts coming up over the summer???
